Most plain reissues have been pretty subpar but this one is by far the worst. Bungle s debut for warner bros originally released in 1991 is one of the most difficult major label rock records of all time. This music on vinyl reissue version adds another lp side to give the music more space to breathe. Bungle delivered their genre jumping swan song california and to mark the occasion the record is being treated to a new vinyl reissue.

Bungle released four demo tapes in the mid to late 1980s before being signed to a major label and releasing three full length studio albums between 1991 and 1999. The band s debut release mr. Bungle soundtracks the antics of a misfit clown and it s just as bonkers as you d expect from the cover. California 1999 is the third and final studio album by mr.

I waited 11 years for this masterpiece to come out on vinyl and this was a huge letdown. Many of its songs had an unconventional structu. There s more new mr. Bungle s back catalogue but music on vinyl will press on with the series later this fall by delivering a double lp.
