My transfer tape wont letbgo of my vinyl. Make sure project surface is clean and dry. That means it is going to stick more then an indoor wall vinyl that is going to be more easily removable. If your vinyl is not releasing from the transfer tape then your transfer tape may be too sticky. I personally find clear plastic transfer tapes to be the easiest to work with.
Apply to project surface. Smaller bits always take a little extra work though. Having problems getting the transfer tape to pick up all the letters in your decal. My favorite clear transfer tapes.
Use a scraper to burnish transfer tape onto your design working outward from where you attached the small area. Use rubbing alcohol to clean plastic and glass surfaces. I do not recommend using a strong grip or strong tack transfer tape with regular vinyl as you will have a difficult time getting the decal to release from the transfer material. If vinyl doesn t separate from the liner simply burnish liner back onto the vinyl and peel away again.
Yes i would consider transfer tape that is 4 4 1 2 years old to be old. You are trying to apply your decal to your favorite water bottle and after rubbing it down on your cup for 5 minutes the vinyl will not come off the transfer tape and release onto the cup. Peel vinyl liner away from transfer tape and design. If the vinyl sticks to the liner simply burnish the transfer tape onto the vinyl again and then continue to peel the vinyl away.
Use silhouette transfer tape with the cricut vinyl. If it s too sticky the vinyl will stay on the tape no matter what surface you are applying it to. As a result the sticker the vinyl is rated as the more sticky your transfer tape needs to be in order to pull it up off the backing its self. Turn your vinyl over and burnish the back side.
Carefully place the transfer tape vinyl cut outs onto a clean and dry surface in my case this bread box making sure the images are straight.
